Marcel Hülsbeck studied Business Management (Management & Organisation, Human Resource Management) at the University of Augsburg as well as Social Behavioural Sciences and Philosophy at the Distance University Hagen. He received his PhD in political sciences (2009) and habilitation in business administration (2012) at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University Augsburg. In the summer terms 2012 and 2013 he was locum professor at the Chair for Labour, Human Resources and Organisation at Trier University. Before entering the academic field he was an entrepreneur and management consultant in the areas of strategy and organisational development. Besides his academic qualification he completed further training in psychodynamic and systemic counselling.
